Whether an aspiring Reflexologist, or simply a curious consumer, these books will be a valuable asset to the library of an interested reader.
A visit to the local bookstore may net several books on Reflexology. To get a sense of which books may be best suited to a particular learning style – the visual reader may appreciate lots of colorful images. Don't forget the local library or online bookstores as sources for books on Reflexology when conducting a search for a specific volume. Better Health with Foot Reflexology by Dwight C Byers, Ingham Publishing Inc. 2001, ISBN 1891130005. The nephew of Eunice Ingham, the "grandmother" of modern reflexology, Mr. Byers provides some good material from his years working with the International Institute of Reflexology. The fold-out foot chart in this book is popular. Reflexology by Joelle Peeters, Barnes and Noble 2003, ISBN 0760737371. This book contains examples of what reflexes to work for various complaints. The book briefly addresses the history and theories of Reflexology with basic techniques. Reflexology: Health at Your Fingertips, Barbara and Kevin Kunz, Dorling Kindersley 2003, ISBN 0789493535. This book is rich with full-color pictures demonstrating both techniques but also reflex point locations. Contains a lot of self-help Reflexology tips with tools such as golf balls and foot rollers. A good primer book to keep on hand for times when self-help techniques or a friend needs some reflexology. The Busy Person’s Guide to Reflexology: Simple Routines for Home, Work and Travel by Ann Gillanders, Barron’s Educational Series 2002, ISBN 0764119672. A great primer for the visual learner – beautiful color photos demonstrate techniques and reflex points. Sections devoted to area to emphasize for morning sickness, traveling, the flu and beyond. The Everything Reflexology Book by Valerie Voner, Adams Media 2003, ISBN 1580629636. Voner is an instructor at her school in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, USA. Her book includes a lot of drawings and is fun to read. The Little Book of Reflexology by Michelle R. Kluck, Running Press Miniature Editions 2001, ISBN 0762410884. The best pocket guide to Reflexology – carries well in a handbag or luggage. Not as comprehensive as other, larger, books but as a reference Kluck’s miniature book is great to have around. Also makes a great gift! The Parent’s Guide to Reflexology: Helping Your Child Overcome Illness and Injury Through Touch by Kevin and Barbara Kunz, Three Rivers Press 1997, ISBN 0517888459. Good reference book for parents to have on hand; see also Reflexology for Children. The Reflexology Deck: 50 Healing Techniques by Katy Dreyfuss, Chronicle Books 2004, ISBN 0811841766. A fun, flashcard set with illustrations demonstrating point locations and basic techniques. Does include foot, hand and ear Reflexology charts.
